SUMMARY
- Known as "Explain how the Russian Revolution and the entry of the United States affected the course and outcome of the war."
- When the Russians exited the war, it allowed Germany to focus itself on the Western Front, which is basically France. Germany knew they had the upper-hand of France, since they were stronger.
- But, their actions (like sinking the U.S. ship Lusitania and attempting to get Mexico as an ally) maddened the U.S., and they entered the war.
- This changed the course of the war tremendously, and Germany thought they had won it until the U.S. entered.
- They basically shot themselves in the foot, causing them to lose. If they kept their promise on no more unrestricted warfare, and hadn't sent Mexico an easily intercept-able telegraph, they may have won the war and taken over Great Britain and France.
